Commodity Trader/Consultant

Primary responsibilities include personalizing DVPro commodity trading support services in client relationships. Traders are responsible for supporting client's feed, grain, and milk market trading needs using cash contracts, insurance products, and futures/options in hedge related trading activity. 

Required skills and experience include: Knowledge of commodity markets, working with farm financial information, exceptional written and oral communication skills, perform market analysis, and able to work in a high demand environment. The position requires being able to attain a Series III brokers license.

All traders that exemplify company values, meet partner criteria benchmarks, and reflect the drive needed to fulfill DVi's long term vision will be given the opportunity to become owner partners. 

 

Commodity Trader/Consultant Intern

Commodity Trader interns will have the opportunity to experience a wide range of tasks required to perform the duties of a Trading Consultant. The intern program duration is 8-9 weeks. Students in their junior and senior year of college will be considered. 

Qualifications desired include students working towards a degree in Ag Business, Ag Economics, Dairy Management, or Grain/Livestock Merchandising. Having a strong agricultural background is a requirement for consideration.

At the end of the internship the intern will be expected to put together and present a formal market plan for a grain or dairy producer. 

 

Sales and Marketing Intern

Sales and marketing interns will have opportunities to experience developing marketing material content, assist in supporting the web based presence of DVI, do client and prospective customer surveys, and interact via phone and face to face with owners and managers of large grain and dairy businesses. The intern program duration is 8-9 weeks.  

Qualifications desired include students working toward a degree in Marketing, Ag Communications, Ag business or a related field. Having a strong agricultural background is a requirement for consideration. 

At the end of the internship, the intern will be asked to present a strategic marketing proposal or campaign concept to the DVI leadership team.
